Grand Valley Elementary Drop-off and Pickup
Arrival- Parents will not be able to access the elementary drop off area until 8:55 a.m. when the buses leave the elementary complex. The parent drop off line will begin at the STOP sign in the parking area closest to the stadium. Please be patient. Students will begin dismissal from the buses at 8:45 a.m. Students getting off buses will proceed to the following doors: Kindergarten-1st-Main Office Doors,2nd-4th third grade doors, students getting breakfast will enter through the cafeteria.
After the buses leave the parking area, parents will be asked to move forward to the elementary main office doors. ALL students being dropped off by a parent will enter the main office doors. No parents are allowed to enter the school.
Pickup- Please contact the school office each day by 10:00 a.m. with a note or phone call if your child is getting picked up by you or a family member. Dismissal for pick up riders is promptly at 3:25. Please use regular communication with the school, this will help us prevent delays in dismissal. Students will be dismissed at 3:35 or when all students have been picked up by their parents for bus dismissal. If you need a car tag, please contact the school office. GVMS Parents- We will be holding a Meet the Teacher night on Monday, August 23rd from 6:00-7:00. You will have the opportunity to meet your child's teacher, locate their core classes, and locate and practice opening their lockers.
The first 5 minutes of this event will be held in the cafe/auditorium. Hotdogs will be served at 6:30PM, so if you are done early join us outside by the main doors. Thank you PTO!
Mustang eye black provided by our Middle School PTO ($2.00) - proceeds will go toward our Mustangs school supplies - we have plenty of food as well - we just need YOU!

Friendly reminder that TOMORROW is our 1st Annual SOUPer Bowl Food Drive / Tailgate. This is a friendly competition between community members in Grand Valley and Jefferson to see who can collect the most canned goods. Bring your items to the game, cash donations are also accepted. Each $1 contributed will count as 5 pounds of food.
The winner of the SOUPer Bowl will be announced at halftime and will be presented with the SOUPer Bowl Trophy.
Logistics:
The Grand Valley Mustangs will kick off against the Jefferson Falcons at 7 p.m. Tailgating will start at 4:30 p.m. and stop at kick-off. Please bring delicious food, dessert and beverages to share, and let’s not forget plastic ware, cups, paper products & trash bags. We want to kindly remind you that since it’s on school property, “NO” alcohol is allowed. There will be no electrical outlets available, so bring your small grill if you need to.
Raffle:
A “Mustangs” Cornhole Board will be raffled off! Only $5.00 will get your name entered for the “Mustangs” Cornhole Board raffle. Funds will benefit our high school students.
Let’s make this SOUPer Bowl / Tailgating a smashing success - full of great food, good clean fun and school spirit! (Let’s also lend a hand in “cleaning up” after all the festivities). THANKS!
